Day 1 — Nafplio (base)

The Bronze-Age citadel of Mycenae and the vast, acoustically perfect ancient theatre of Epidaurus.
Day 3 — Into the mountains to Mystras (120 km)
West over the mountains to Mystras, a hillside of Byzantine churches and palaces above Sparta.
Day 4 — The Mani (100 km)
The wild Mani peninsula of stone tower-houses and empty coves.
Day 5 — Monemvasia
The Monemvasia sea-castle — a whole medieval town hidden on the far side of a rock joined to the shore by a causeway.
